NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING
CONISDERATION OF PROPOZED AMENDMENTS TO ZONING ORDINANCES AND SITE PLAN REGULATIONS
Notice is hereby given that a public hearing will be held by the Springfield Planning Board on January 15, 2026, at 7:00 p.m. in the Protectworth Room at the Springfield Town Office, 2750 Main Street, for proposed amendments to the Springfield Zoning Ordinance and Site Plan Regulations concerning:
- Short-Term Rentals (STRs)—Adding a new Section 7.30 requiring a Conditional Use Permit (CUP).
- Accessory Dwelling Units (ADUs)—Updating Section 7.20 to comply with 2025 amendments to RSA 674:71-73.
- Site Plan Review Regulations—Reviewing proposed updates and addition of Conditional Use Permit application requirements, approval criteria, conditions of approval, and operational standards for short-term rentals.
- Solar Energy Systems—Reviewing proposed amendment to add Article XIV establishing basic regulations for solar energy systems, allowing small residential installations by right, prohibiting commercial solar farms on agricultural land, and requiring Conditional Use Permits and Site Plan Review for commercial-scale solar projects.

All interested parties are invited to attend the public hearing and to express their views. Written comments may be submitted to the Planning Board in advance.
